I graduated from Hofstra University in 1977 with a Bachelor of Arts
degree in music performance, and have performed in clubs, concerts, off
broadway work and private teaching ever since.
With recommendations from Craig Ryder of Ryder Piano Service and Robert
Lee, tuner for Syracuse University and Syracuse Symphony, I began training
in piano tuning and technology with renowned instructors Steve Fairchild,
Sr., and Richard Dante, Sr.
Upon completion in 1985, I became an associate with the Piano Technicians
Guild and began working with Jack Kahn Pianos, now known as Piano Piano,
in Manhattan. Later, I moved on to Frank and Camille's Keyboard Centers,
with which I have been associated for more than 20 years.
In 1998, I was tested and became a registered craftsman with the piano
Technicians Guild. In 1999, I was accepted and attended Yamaha Pianos
prestigious Little Red Schoolhouse in in Buena Park, California. There,
I was extremely fortunate to study with Laroy Edwards, Craig Ferenbacker,
Sensei Terry Nemi (Acoustic Piano Regulation, voicing and concert prep)
and Bill Brandon (Disklavier). It is this dedication to training pride
in workmanship and customer satisfaction that have been the key to my
success.
